New in the house
Easy button on meals, spring styles and looking at the big picture
I hit the ground running this week after being away last weekend. The list was a mile long. I used to think that working from home would mean I’d have time to prep meals and do more cooking. But that just hasn’t happened. We are just as busy!
What’s saved me? Factor meals, a fresh, never frozen subscription meal service delivered straight to my door. And, the only prep is reheating. And now, with the Factor x Sakara partnership, I can choose from up to 20 salads and grain bowls, including new Sakara options added to the menu every week.Fresh, protein-packed, and ready to go, these salads are everything, and I can’t get enough of the greens. #FactorPartner

Even the meals we reheat, I’m always impressed with how fresh and crunchy the cooked veggies are. I don’t even know how they make salmon taste so fresh and delicious in a microwave. Some of our favorites? The teriyaki salmon, truffle butter filet, the green chili chicken and the salad pictured above! It’s a winner!
The meals are fully customizable and you can order as many meals as you need for the week. We typically get six per week, three for Dougie and three for me, which seems to be the sweet spot.
I love that the nutritional information is clearly listed on the meal and online when I order. We have seriously never had a bad meal. Every dish is created by dietitians and chefs, which is way better than anything I could make myself. There are options for everyone, whether gluten free, Keto, vegetarian, or like me, protein plus focused.
They’ve given me a code to share with you so you can try it too. Use my code SWEETFRINGEBENEFITSFB50 or order HERE to receive 50% off your first box and free breakfast for a year! (The egg bites are yummy reheated in the air fryer.)

Sweetfringebenefit of the week
Each week I find the good, the sweet in a moment or season that is hard, challenging, nasty or difficult.
It’s not that I run from my age. I’m pretty proud of my age! Proud of the experiences I’ve lived through and thrived as a result of.
However, this week, every time I look in the mirror, I’m reminded that I look every bit of the 61 years I’ve lived.
Is that a bad thing? I suppose it’s how you frame it. But let me tell you, I have to do the work to reframe it.
I have a bit of an allergic reaction going on around my eyes. And I’m trying to figure it out what it is. Is it my beloved skincare routine? My mascara (I’ve now tried 5 different ones and same reaction). Maybe it’s Stevie girl and all the allergens from her hair? Not sure. But…
It’s making more wrinkles around my eyes than I usually have. And I DON’T LIKE IT.
There’s always going to be moments that are stark reminders of the season that we are in. Yesterday was VERY quiet. A Valentine’s Day that felt like, a lot of other days. When littles are around, they’re so excited about their paper valentines embellished with candy hearts and erasers. But it was just Dougie and I, a very normal day.
Some days I just have to go to the big picture. The one where I’m grateful to be here at 61 years old. With a very engaged life. One that has changed? But not with the loss of careers, abilities, a spouse or a child. I am grateful. As I know some friends’ life experiences have already marked time with that.
Today’s Sweetfringebenefit is going big. The big picture. The important stuff. The stuff that truly matters.
