I dropped below 6 outfits that I wore this week. It was a pretty good fashion week. It helped that the weather was really pleasant here. But back to winter for a few days.
Short work week coming up as we are headed to the beach for a long weekend! Very excited…and, next week will include some vacation looks in the post!

Sweetfringebenefit of the week
Each week I find the good, the sweet in a moment or season that is hard, challenging, nasty or difficult.
I was asked this week how I showed up everyday in this public space when we hear so many naysayers of what we can do at our age.
There are moments that I second guess myself. Do I belong? Am I relevant?
I always shift that to:
Do we belong? Are we relevant? Meaning, my community!
And the answer is a resounding YES!
Whoever your naysayers are or have been in your life, I bet it’s a small minority compared to those who believe in you. Those who cheer you on. Those who say keep going.
That’s been my experience. And I hope it’s yours too.
Unfortunately, the ugly, the unbelievers can be louder. Including our own thoughts.
I’d love to say that the wisdom of aging has eliminated these self doubts. It hasn’t for me. But that voice has become more willing to listen. More willing to listen to my own voice overriding the negativity.
Let’s choose to build each other up. Because, we are hard enough on ourselves. Sure, others have what I don’t. Don’t let comparison diminish what and who you are.
This week’s Sweetfringebenefit is a moment of truth. Of what I do have. Of who I am. Of what I’ve done. Not what anyone else has or has done. Taking those moments to see yourself just for you, and not in comparison to anyone else? That’s where gratitude begins.
What I wore this week

Left: I love this Oxford blouse. I call it an Oxford with an attitude. It has the cutest grosgrain ribbon details on the side and the back. I size down to a small.
Center: A neutral cashmere sweater will be your best friend during this season of crazy weather. These flare jeans are a nice price point and leg lengthening.
Right: Scuba knit fabric by Walmart! Crewneck and joggers (I sized down in joggers) are total scores! There’s also a really cute vest in this color.
Left: This lilac sweater is the answer to a lingering winter. And my sweatpants jeans? They’re a splurge. Not going to lie. Size down…I love them.
Center: Classic black dress can be worn year round. Just layer it! No iron white blouse is a must have, and these slingbacks are on major sale. Time to pick them up.
Right: Navy blazer is also a top 10 item you must have, and these palazzo jeans are super chic. You can’t see my denim trimmed sweater vest…it really made the outfit.
